ive always loved skate deck designs. so i think ill start to dabble with my own

for the ninja turtle i basically just went through selective color and increased everything

i desaturated everything but the wall. and then increased the color on the wall through selective color.

increased the black and white and then used water paint brushes all over the background.

A Japanese Love Story

the funny thing about this one is that it started out as a stereotypical japanese poster. big bold letters, objects everywhere, rising sun in the background. from that it went to a love story that looks like it was hand drawn in a notebook. it was an odd transition but it worked out a lot better.

the other one i just wanted a backgorund for the circles. it looked way to plain without one

the first one is mine. the second one was my inspiration. i love passion pit's song sleepyhead and saw this poster done by valhalla studios. and i was inspired to make my own! i really wanted to use pink and blue as usual. but i threw in yellow and black too. i definitely wanted a repetitive background too. a pattern of some sort
